The Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) announced recently that levels of 'extreme debt' in the UK are worsening. According to the report 280,000 CCCS customers who were aged between 40 and 59 were shown to be in possession of the highest levels of debt - owing an average of ?34,456.
